Sidhu, a former cricketer, a cricket commentator, an MP and a popular comedy show host known for his witticisms will now charm his fans in his first Punjabi film ever, ‘Mera Pind-My Home’ , directed by noted Punjabi film director Manmohan Singh. The film also stars popular Punjabi singer and actor Harbhajan Mann. The chemistry between the two Punjabi powerhouses of talent is simply amazing as was seen in glimpses from the film as showcased at the music launch at Chandigarh.
Says director Manmohan Singh on the unique pairing of actor, “Sidhu and Harbhajan are two talented individuals who have put Punjab on the world map. Since my film deals with the theme of self-empowerment and Punjabi culture, there couldn’t be a more perfect combination of talent than Sidhu and Harbhajan Mann”
Navjot Singh Sidhu, says that the film ‘Mera Pind-My Home’ is close to his heart – “I, being a Punjabi myself can relate to my character in the film more emphatically than anyone else. Moreover I am proud to be a part of this endeavor that takes Punjabi culture to international levels. It has been a learning experience with a seasoned director like Manmohanji and my brother Harbhajan Mann with whom I have shared a great working experience on the sets.”
